Operation 'SWAN'

Prince, this is the name that was given to a lost swan that turned up at our doorstep one day. The poor young soul was very confused and walked into the reception area, went through the hall and casually entered our kennel room. This five star, fully airconditioned hotel had become a home for the night for Prince who was offered food, water and lots of attention. In the morning Emma, the RSPCA officer transferred Prince swan to their facilities and decided that he was ready to be released onto Conningbrook Lake. Emma chose this area because the large angling lake is also home to 18 adult swans and she was confident they would accept him. We hope that Prince will stop 'swanning about' and keep out of trouble once settled in his new home.

Miraculous recovery

George is a lovely youngster that had the misfortune to meet with a car. The accident left him in huge pain and unable to walk. Careful examination and X rays showed that George had a badly broken pelvis. The chances of full recovery were uncertain but George's mum, Mrs Collins, has cared for him for weeks with such a devotion and love that his mobility has come back and apart from a slightly deformed pelvis he has made a full recovery.

Kitkat's story

 200x200_fitbox-kitkat.jpeg

Kitkat is a very friendly, black neutered boy who was looking for a new home after an unfortunate incident with a car. We have given him a second chance by repairing his fractured leg after the road traffic accident. He recovered very well under the watchful eye of one of our nurses.

We are very pleased to announce that Kitkat has joined Sarah's family and he brings lots of joy and love to their life.

A special thank you to Gareth Arnold The Editor of Your Ashford and James Scott The Editor of Kentish Express for publishing Kitkat's story:

'Brave Kitkat needs a caring new home'

'Can you give a home to Kitkat the cat?'

We would like to thank everyone for the overwhelming response to our plea for Kitkat. You have all been very kind and generous in donating to his treatment fund.

Here is one of the lovely letters we received:
